Jamie Becomes Sister Pratt

Jamie was set apart as a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on June 25, 2006 by President Papa. He gave her a wonderful blessing! What an experience it was. Who would have ever thought that the Monte Pratt family would have a missionary!

President Papa asked each of us to say something to Jamie that we might not otherwise say to her. It was very tearful and sweet. Even Granny (Great Grandma) chimed in.

After she was set apart Jamie bore her tesitmony and thank us all for being there for her. She also told us that she wanted everyone to know that she was not serving a mission because she HAD to, she was serving because she wanted to! She said that 18 months was the least she could give to the Lord for all He gives to her. She has a very strong testimony and is a great example to us all.

After being set apart we came home and had a big party for our missionary. Friends and family galore where in attendance. They came from near and far to be with Jamie on her last day home before heading to the MTC.
